AI Roundtable Discussion

The AI landscape is evolving rapidly. While some organizations have fully embraced AI, others are still taking their first steps. Recently, we gathered with industry partners to discuss their experiences with AI integration.

From copywriting to demographic research, AI is being applied in diverse ways across B2B businesses. Many are finding significant time savings in content creation, particularly for technical writing. While AI can generate drafts, human review is essential to ensure accuracy and quality.

Harnessing AI in Industrial B2B Businesses

One company uses AI extensively in software development but lacks a broader adoption plan. Another found AI crucial for opening a European office and conducting demographic research. Most commonly across the board, however, many organizations are saving a lot of time in their copywriting approach, especially for highly technical pieces like case studies.

It's much faster to revise than it is to write from scratch. AI is learning to scan technical pieces like data sheets and outputting accurate content for blogs or case studies. One attendee found that up to 90% of AI-generated content ended up being published.

Others found AI helpful for personalization, using it to tailor their language towards their target audience and incorporating keywords.

However, it's important to remember that content must always be reviewed by a human to ensure accuracy and tone. While AI is improving, it is far from perfect and caution should always be exercised. Despite these wins, other attendees ran into some big challenges.

Overcoming Challenges

One key challenge is convincing senior management of AI's value. Addressing concerns about security and quality is crucial. By demonstrating tangible results and addressing concerns, organizations can overcome resistance.

Another challenge is combatting bias. AI algorithms can perpetuate or amplify existing biases present in the data used to train them which can lead to incomplete or inaccurate outputs.  Balancing AI and human interaction on a project is crucial to verifying the information you gain from AI.

AI saves time on tasks like copywriting, research, and translation. However, its effectiveness depends on how well users interact with it. Treat AI as an intern—assign it tedious, creative, and brainstorming tasks while always having a backup plan.

Future Outlook

AI is here to stay and will continue to evolve. It may not replace human jobs entirely but will create a skill gap between those who know how to use AI effectively and those who don't. Continuous experimentation and staying updated with AI advancements are key to success.

AI is applicable and achievable now, with numerous success stories and cautionary tales, but it's crucial to approach it responsibly.

Are you ready to harness the power of AI in your B2B business? Our team can help you identify opportunities and navigate the challenges. Let's discuss how AI can drive productivity and innovation.
